Day 1: Tour Kigali City & border crossing to Bwindi N/Park
Wake up early enough from your respective lodges or hotels in Kigali to have breakfast. After, get briefed on your 2 days Uganda Gorilla Trek and one of our experts leads you on a city tour in Kigali. Lunch will follow and then drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park connecting through Katuna border or Chanika, 3 to 4 hours’ drive.
Considering your early arrival, you will have best of your evening interacting with the Batwa pygmies while on Batwa community visit/cultural tour. The Batwa are known for their historic lifestyle as hunters or gatherers, which they enjoyed for over 500,000 in the Bwindi forest.

Day 2: Bwindi Gorilla Trek Experience & depart for Kigali
Breakfast early morning and after, have all that is required for your actual gorilla trek ready. Vacate the lodge and join other visitors for briefing on gorilla rules and this is always done in the respective 4 gorilla sectors in Bwindi National Park. Once you have a gorilla family allocated to you and park guide, at 8:00am, the actual search for mountain gorillas begins in your group of 8 visitors.
How long you will spend in the bamboo looking for mountain gorillas all depends on your speed of hike, nature of habitat and where these apes are but expect to take 3 to 6 hours. After a good time of interacting, taking photos of gorillas during the 1 hour of magical encounter, walk back to where you were briefed and you will have your gorilla trekking certificate. Go check out of the lodge ready to go border crossing once again via Katuna/Chanika border to Kigali.
